Talking Stupid, stupid xplornet.. get out of your contract no HASSLES!!!

You would think xplornet pays its LAWYERS more than minimum wage... but I guess not...

Want out of your contract call billing, refer them to this link, and state that because of what is underlined below.. you are terminating.

Period, simple.. you are prohibited from using the service and thus will stop paying for it

http://www.xplornet.com/legal.php?id=2

point them to section 4

see attached jpeg of screen capture taken when this post was submitted

WHAT A BUNCH OF DUMBASSES!!!!!

HEY XPLORNET, GIVE ME A JOB... lol I'm sick of finding and fixing all your issues... you deserve to have a mass customer exodus because of your arrogance, greed and ineptness at providing service which you advertise but do not deliver. Change your legal agreements at a whim, and think by just posting them, and saying peoples continued use, even though they aren't informed of any changes constitutes a legal agreement... boy are you just... FUCKED!!!!!!!!! sorry for the language ... but its the best xplornet descriptor...

this STOOPID STOOPID oversight is everyones legal out.. and you deserve losing customers!!!

Mike

4. USE OF SERVICE: You are prohibited from using the Service and shall use reasonable efforts to ensure the Service is not used for a purpose or in a manner that is contrary to laws including, without limitation, all copyright, trademark and obscenity laws applicable to any content or information transmitted via the Service.

And this actually dates back to 2007 when i posted the legal agreement in this thread

http://www.xplornetsucks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24

Just another legal fuckup on xplornets part, section 7 refers to termination and then refers to section 22, which should be section 23...

its a contract you idiots, and if you can't write one... LMFAO

what there are no lawyers in NEW BRUNSWICK..my gawd what a buch of backwood hicks..." yep.. we cant fish any more, so lets run one of them there internet companees..yuk yuk... we'll reel em in, overfish (over subscribe), get government grants... uuuhhh what happened...???
DUMBASSES!!!!

heheh I wonder if they have something that says "we reserve the right to change this contract and its contents at will" etc.

Policies can be posted and changed. But the paper you signed with the contract on it - did it make reference to anything elsewhere?

They basically say sometimes that you agreee to these terms including the policies at this website http yada yada and they can change at any moment.

Sham...

They hire kidd33 lawyers to write their contracts... nothing about an xplornet contract would survive scrutiny by REAL lawyers or a judge!!!!

Default I need some help I think

I dont get this anymore I read and read and read what you folks have posted and one thing is different with me. I literally didnt sign anything. When I called in to cancel they said all they needed was a credit card number. Now I am not new and I know they would have needed some sort of permission from myself to put me into a three year contract but when i call and tell them I am putting a stop payment they say they are sending me to collections and then I think well before I know it I will have crappy credit?? Confused Fed up and Ready just to give them there money and tell them to f*ck off. Cynthia

Somewhere Xplornet should have a computer copy or paper copy of what someone wrote on your original sign up/install sheet. And if they don't?? Well no contract could be found, so say goodbye to Xplornet, as you must of somehow been on a month to month basis or have an expired one year contract.... Or if a call support worker signed you to a long term, then there should be a note on your file of their name/number.
http://www.xplornetsucks.com/forums/...74&postcount=5

So two scenarios here.
One is, you called Xplornet to sign up and they sent out someone who installed and someone in customer support wrote you up for the 3 year(?) term.
Or
You called a local dealer and he signed you up for a 3 year(?) term.
And all this without asking your input as to how long of a term that you wanted.
Call it Fraud if someone put you into a long term contract, without you giving consent by verbal or written notice(Preferably written notice)...

11. EARLY CANCELLATION:
In all other cases, for all Xplornet customers, you agree that if you terminate your subscription to the Services prior to the expiration of the initial term, we have the right, in addition to all other amounts due to us pursuant to these Terms of Service, as liquidated damages and not as penalty, to receive from you the lesser of the two amounts: $25 multiplied by the number of full months remaining in the non-cancelable initial term, as specified on your signed Service Agreement or change of Service Form, or a one time charge of $450.

They told me I could not cancel by phone. The fax line they told me to use does not work. Emails do no good they do not reply. HOW DO I GET THEM TO QUIT TAKING MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT?

I answered this in the satellite forum...But what the hell, here it is again..

Go to your bank and place a stop/cancel payment of auto-withdrawal, for a few bucks.
Or
Call the credit card company. Un-authorize the automatic charge.

• Billing inquiries - billing@xplornet.com

Cancellation form.
http://www.xplornet.com/cancellation.php
Then the link has a PDF to download and print..And Fax.
http://www.xplornet.com/docs/downloa...Cancelling.pdf

And you will notice no links on Xplornets pages to the cancellation form......
