Rogers page.

DSLreports article, notes how fast you can burn through those low caps on that so-called modern 4G network. Edit: Did I say 4G? I meant BEYOND 4G, vvvrrrooom. Too bad the caps are still stuck in the 2G past.

A representative of Canadian broadband provider Rogers has stopped by our Rogers forum to note that the company has launched their LTE network in Ottawa today. Users can access the network with the new LTE Rocket Stick, which costs $80 with a 3-year hardware discount agreement,. or $170 with no contract. Users in our forums aren't particularly impressed with Rogers pricing, which comes in four flavors (prices are in Canadian $): 1.5GB of usage for $45, 3GB of usage for $60, 6GB of usage for $75, and 9GB of usage for $90. If your using on any of the lowest three tiers breaches the cap, you're automatically enrolled in the next-highest tier. If you're enrolled in the 9GB plan, you'll pay $10 per each additional gigabyte. If it makes you feel any better, Rogers says they're offering "unlimited social networking" on "select social networking sites."
Oh boy..... Unlimited social networking on specific sites,,, Otherwise known as a "walled garden"(use your ISP's enhanced access and get free shit) or a violation of "net neutrality"(priority sites).

DSLreports thread.

Ouch these caps and tiers are worse than...dare I say...xplornot. I was actually hoping that this would be my answer to xplornot...I am so disgusted with all these insanely high prices and low caps. Moving back to urban just to get some decent affordable internet is almost tempting. Been in rural now for 9 years and the greatest thing to come along was xplornot...PATHETIC.
