Default Blocked from xplornetsucks.com

Hi all, I've been unable to log in here for the last few days because Xplornet has blocked many servers in the 173.x.x.x range, which just happens to include xplornetsucks.com. It also includes the web host that my wife and I use, so Xplornet has blocked us from visiting (and managing) our own web sites.

I don't know if this applies only to those on the Everus network (like us), all wireless customers, or all Xplornet customers.

I've been trying to get this fixed since Thursday at 6:45 am...and the story of my many futile calls to customer service is an epic in itself, which I might post later. The status for now is that this might get fixed by Monday. I've stopped waiting for them; instead, I'm getting around their address blocks by using the Tor browser, which is designed to bypass Internet censorship in third-world countries and dictatorships. Or, as it happens, Canada.

I'll post again if/when this gets fixed.

As of 7 a.m. today (Wednesday), this seems to be fixed. I seem to be able to visit all the sites in 173.x.x.x that I haven't been able to visit for the last six days (including xplornetsucks.com).

So much for the "Monday" estimate (which became Tuesday, and then Wednesday, on successive calls).

There still seem to be sites in the 119.x.x.x address range that remain blocked, but I can live without them. But never believe an Xplornet rep if they tell you "we don't censor web sites," because clearly they can and they do.

Just a minor update...as of today, IP addresses 119.148.x.x still seem to be blacklisted by Xplornet. Two sites that I used to visit in this range are http://joannenova.com.au/ and http://jennifermarohasy.com/ , if anyone else wants to try them out.

Although these were on the list of blocked sites that I sent in my original support request, it would seem that once I stopped telephoning every day, Xplornet stopped working on the problem. I've sent an email support request....which I fully expect to be ignored.

sometimes its blocked till almost 6-7pm then it just magically start to load again.

I have no problem accessing both sites, and obviously Xplornet, as well.
I am in the Kemptville-Winchester area.

Thanks, that's helpful. That suggests the sites are blocked at the Everus gateway and not across all of Xplornet. (That's also suggested by my traceroute tests.) So only ex-Everus users, like myself, are affected.
