Ah, therein lies a tale.

As I recall -- it's been some years now -- when we first signed up for Xplornet satellite, I did sign a contract at the local installer's office.

When we signed up for Everus wireless, I signed a contract for that. When Xplornet bought Everus, I assume they acquired all of the contracts as part of the process. They then promptly ignored the terms of that contract and assumed that I was on Xplornet's standard contract. Had I wanted to make a big deal out of it, I could have easily voided the contract, since they weren't living up to its terms. But the wireless was still working ok, so I decided it wasn't worth the bother.
