Arrow Content industry starts blocking U.S. Netflix. jan 2015

Edit: And blocking gets cut off at the throat, as the people shall not be reduced to watching anemic crap mandated by their particular country's corrupt media corporations. In Canada, that is Rogers, Bell, Shaw, plus the criminally corrupt politicians who are owned by them

Netflix right now: Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
The end users: We pay for Netflix, so why don't you want our money, which increases with more views?

Sony(and others) starts enforcing part of their 'block users outside of the country licensed for content' agreement.
Appears to be mainly DNS proxies to start.

Netflix is starting to block subscribers who access its service using VPN services and other tools that bypass geolocation restrictions. The changes, which may also affect legitimate users, have been requested by the movie studios who want full control over what people can see in their respective countries.

Due to complicated licensing agreements Netflix is only available in a few dozen countries, all of which have a different content library.
