I've had the Wi-Max service for almost 2 years now. We got the 10mbps package and the speeds have actually been pretty consistent the entire time. We average right now about 7-8mbps. I think it depends on the load on your tower more than Xplornet throttling after the 30 days (though i wouldn't put it past them).

Wow, 7-8mbps on Wimax. I'm struggling here trying to get 1.5mbps on Wimax with the 5mbps package. I at least got the 250gb 10mbps LTE packaged locked so whenever they show up, I can still get it.

I have the 10 meg package average 9 meg early morning hours then 5pm to 1 am 2 meg down is about it. Our tower is way past full they have been honest with me at least. They said LTE will help for sure but its not live until next week then we wawit for hardware to show up. It seem the new CPE7000 are no good for LTE

We've had the 4G wireless for about a year and haven't noticed any bad slowdowns. I've just done a check (5:45 pm) and on our 5 Mbps package we're getting about 4.6 Mbps down.

Wow. I've only had the 4G Wireless for almost 6 months now and after the first couple weeks it went downhill. If Xplornet's package was 2mbps and it was $39 or $49.95 then I wouldn't complain.

I'm guessing it has to do with how heavily loaded your particular tower is. I seem to be one of the lucky ones, on a lightly loaded tower. Even during "prime time" I've been getting pretty good speeds. (Bear in mind I have only the 5 Mbps plan.)
