Most of the consumers concerned with the new "cap" on their internet service are up in arms because they are finally being managed according to their usage! They have been hogging bandwidth from other Xplornet users for years! It is about time that someone puts a stop to them. Most of these users are using over 100 to 200 GB per month. They are ROAD HOGS ... taking up all the room on the road and are crying now because Xplornet expects them to play fairly. They can keep their speeds ... all they have to do is pay for what they are using. This is new to them since they have never been held accountable before. ANYWAY .... think what you will.[/quote]

Hogging bandwidth...what a bunch of crap...
The only time it is even remotely possible to "hog" bandwidth is during their so called "uncapped periods" ....aka during the night....
All users have this available if they want it...so don't complain about someone being a road hog....
Limiting people to 20 gig a month will not solve any problems....Xplornet is the problem!!!

Tell me why they insist people are using too much bandwidth so this is not OK...but if the same people want to pay $2 a gig and use the same bandwidth it is fine with them.....Similar to the HST a money grab!!!!!!!!!!!!

As more and more rural areas get true high speed Xplornet will become a thing of the past....

I just wanted to point out to everyone the cowardice of some Xplornet employees. They post shit like this and then go run away. Cowards. No courage to debate this topic among real users. Remember the next time you talk to someone on the phone from xplornet, it may be this weak, coward.

Just the term "Coasting and Tarriffs" lets you know that this guy has NO authority when it comes to ISP. What he sated is his "opinion" carries no weight with government policies. Xplornet has CLEARLY stated what thier traffic managment policy is on their website.

Here is an example straight from their website. They are one of the ONLY ISPs out there that is as open as honest as they can be with their customers.

Quote from www.xplornet.com (Traffic Management): Hourly Example #1 - Downloading multiple songs:

You are on the KaZoom package (top download speed is up to 1.0 Mbps) and you want to download fifteen 4 MB songs. The first 13 songs will download within the allowable download limit at regular speeds. While the 14th file is downloading, you will reach your hourly download limit of 55 MB. We will need to reduce your speed to approximately 10% of your package's top download speed for about 60 minutes. You can continue using your Internet connection at the reduced speed. Approximately 60 minutes later, your KaZoom package should return to the normal speed.

Most of the consumers concerned with the new "cap" on their internet service are up in arms becuse they are finally being mannaged according to their usage! They have been hogging bandwidth from other Xplornet useres for years! It is about time that someone puts a stop to them. Most of these users are using over 100 to 200 GB per month. I have been with Airnet about a month now and love them. I am getting the speeds I pay for. Even a little faster at times.
